A few weeks ago, the CD/DVD drive on my laptop stopped working just before I was about to burn a few files to CD-Rs for backup. Then, my computer crashed just after my boyfriend saved all of my files to his external hard drive using some sort of back up manager that was already on my computer. He had to do a factory restore on my laptop. Unfortunately, the back up program had some sort of corruption... So, one of my friends helped me to find a program that was able to run an extraction on the files to save the data; however, the program had to rename all of the files in order to extract them. So I've been spending hours trying to restore my computer to its former glory.

Luckily, I have a great deal of those files saved on my flash drive. I was also fortunate enough to find where I had hidden a zipped file of all of the photographs I had taken to edit and post on DA this summer! Thank God I didn't lose all of my files or photographs!
